Through the ages, in different parts of the world, great teachers have arisen, who have strived to realize the unifying truths beneath this diversity of Creation. What is perhaps less recognized, are the advances mankind has made in the quest for spiritual truths. In less than 150 years, science has linked up the world like never before. The quest for material truths has resulted in the greatest advances in science that mankind has ever seen. This hunger for truth has sent man searching for the principles governing both the outside material world as well as his inner spiritual world. It was only when science advanced and man understood the truth – that eclipses were caused by the revolution of the earth and the moon – that all superstitions ceased and he was liberated from his fear.
